cruze2011white · #9 · Nov 1, 2015 (Edited) Not sure what the AMPs are for the USB but I'm sure the voltage is probably like your wall charger 5v. The issue is not voltage but AMPs. Most car chargers for USB cigarette/power outlets use to be 1amp at 5v. Newer ones are 2amps. You need to look the power plug for your phone.I have a 2018 Cruze LS, there is a a USB port, aux, and power outlet in my center console in front of the shift lever. The white plastic part of the USB port came out at some point so now there’s just prongs in port and it no longer works, obviously. Originally tried with a third party usb, then tried with a brand new Apple usb. Both of them are pumping good voltage when plugged into a wall socket. Sounds like a fuse went out. Easy fix take a look at your manual it will have the fuse box location and a diagram of what fuse goes to what. ….
