I have a 12 f-150 v8 4x4 5.0 and getting output speed sensor code. got new one. but cant find location!!! says left driver side of transmission toward back. I cant find it. all I see is wire harness and a bracket but no speed sensor. could use some ….

The one on the tail shaft is the OSS (Output Shaft Speed) sensor used only by the PCM Computer. Then you have the one on top of the rear end in the center, the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) for the Speedometer (PSOM), ABS, and speed control. This one is all so called the DSS and the ABS sensor by some auto parts outlets and Ford dealers.The abs wheel sensor use to be top center of the differential housing, now I believe they have one at each rear wheel, what you have in your hand is definitely the e locker connector, you now no longer have use of it until you repair that..
