Jeep p0420 code
Filled my '12JKUR (80,000 miles) with ARCO gas, which is supposed to be Top Tier, and a few miles down the road, check engine light comes on; codes were P0430 (cat insufficiency) and P0158 sensor 2/2 (driver's side?). Took it into dealer and they said replace all 4 cat converters and all 4 sensors for $3600!The thing is that your 04 came with at least 2, but more likely 3 catalytic converters. Typically, the cat that you removed would be the 3rd one which is near the muffler. That cat has no O2 sensors and is not the source of the P0420 code. Bank 1 refers to the front three cylinders of your 4.0, while Bank 2 refers to the rear three cylinders.
