There are very few pure skill weapons, such as the Rakuyo and Blades of Mercy. If you don't plan on maining those weapons, you should go with a 25 Str 50 Skill build for best results. Even if you are going pure skill, I suggest heavily to use Saw Spear early in the game to make killing Cleric Beast and Gascoigne easier.For str and skl, first prioritize getting both to 25 (the soft cap). Once you get both to 25 and want more damage, focus on one of them, depending on your weapon scaling. I generally prefer to up skill a little higher as it boosts visceral damage. For weapon options, you have quite the extensive variety, since many weapons scale with str and skl.
